Beginner –Inverted Round and Helm chain
In the beginners class you will learn how to use the tools to create your chain
maille as well as learning the basics of how to open and close jump rings by
making a short chain using the Double chain weave. Once you feel proficient
you will then start your first weave. You will come out of the class with two
sterling silver bracelets and three new weaves.
Inverted Round is similar to Roundmaille. It is a weave that builds quickly
once the initial interlocking of rings has been mastered. It is an ideal weave
to master how to use your pliers effectively.
Helm chain is also known as Parallel Chain. It is a simple and effective chain that uses two sizes of jump ring (3mm and 5mm) which creates a flat chain with a simple and pretty pattern.

The intermediate class with push your skills a little further and will introduce
orbital rings to a weave. You will come out of the class with two sterling
silver bracelets and two new weaves.
The Inca/Box chain is based on assembling 4 rings in a 2 + 2 formation.
The continuing pattern of rings forms a very tactile box like effect. This
weave creates a solid piece that will be durable enough for everyday wear.
Double Lace chain uses a basic 2-in-2 chain weave with the addition of an
orbital ring. The overall effect is delicate and very striking.

The advanced class will test your skills (and patience!) with two intricate
weaves. One requires forward planning when linking rings and the other
requires dexterity with the precise placing of rings. You will come out of
the class with two sterling silver bracelets and two new weaves.
Japanese 12 in 2 is a double layered chain made from two different sized
rings. It is a very simple and pretty weave but is surprisingly intricate to
weave and is a weave which requires forward planning.
Jens Pind’s Linkage is a great weave that forms an effective standalone chain either as a bracelet or a necklace. Made with 3mm rings it is a spiral weave that holds its spiral when relaxed. The small aspect ratio results in a tight weave which locks in place once the rings are closed.
